Leftie Whelk? I've collected most of these whelks on Chincoteaque Island. So why is one spiralling a different way than the others? Was he a leftie whelk?

You must have been talking with Bren, my wife... she is a RADICAL lefty! Beautiful shells.
I (carefully) cropped these shells (which were originally on a highly polished wooden tea table -- with resulting nasty glare) and pasted them onto a black background with gradation to light gray.
